All of the proceeds from funds raised at the 2009 Life is good Pumpkin Festivals will go to the Life is good Kids Foundation, which supports extraordinary charities that create a lasting positive impact on children facing unfair challenges, including trauma, violence, poverty and loss.

Project Joy is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the healthy development of our most vulnerable children. Many of the children served by Project Joy are living in poverty and have been deeply impacted by violence, loss, and other traumatic experiences. Project Joy champions and protects the single most important activity in the life of a child - Play. Project Joy provides teachers and childcare providers with the tools to strengthen and heal their children through play. Its unique training retreats are offered to childcare providers throughout the United States.

HomeAid Washington, D.C. is an affiliated program of the Home Builders Care Foundation (HBCF), the principal charity of the Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association. HomeAid's mission is to "build dignified housing where homeless children and their families can rebuld their lives." HomeAid acts as the bridge between homeless care providers who need new or remodeled housing program facilities and the homebuilding industry. HomeAid donates the completed facilities to local homeless service providers that offer the necessary training and support to help children and families regain self-sufficiency and contribute back to society.
