History of the Life is good Festivals

Boston-based lifestyle and apparel company, Life is good® held its first charitable festival in 2003 in Portland, Maine. Thousands attended that first festival and over $52,000 was raised for kids in need.

With every successive year, the Life is good Festivals have grown. To date, over 300,000 people have enjoyed Life is good Festivals helping the company raise over $4 million for children's charities.

It was in 2006 when Newland Communities joined hands with Life is good to hold its first Life is good Pumpkin Festivals in 15 residential communities from coast-to-coast. Every October since then, Newland has held Life is good Pumpkin Festivals in many Newland communities, even in 2008 and 2009 during one of the toughest economic recessions our nation has faced. Since the start, Newland Communities has proudly raised nearly $1 million for children's charities across the country by hosting Life is good Pumpkin Festivals.
